I received this desk recently and it didn't take me long to get working on it. It was painted cream and definitely needed some freshening up. I actually stripped the top on it, only to discover there were several holes in it. So, I filled them in and painted the whole thing white.
Well, that's not quite true. The drawers I painted in two different shades of aqua. What a fun surprise when you open the drawer!
I also added those appliqués in the center. There was a handle there when I got it and I wanted to cover up the holes. I usually think those wooden appliques look cheesy and like they were a later addition, but I think they sort of suited this piece. It was my first time actually use get them.
